Terms of Service

Last updated: May 1, 2025

Hey there! Welcome to ShareShift.io 🎉

Before you start exploring the world of DNS and hosting data, we need to go over some important ground rules. This document explains what you're agreeing to when you use our site, dashboards, APIs, and tools.

Using ShareShift.io means you're cool with everything below. If something doesn't make sense, just reach out and we'll talk it through.

1. Who We Are

We're ShareShift.io, proudly based in Dubai, UAE.

Our mission is to help hosting companies understand domain movement across providers. We give you tools to track customer migrations, analyze infrastructure trends, and uncover valuable insights that can drive your marketing and business strategy.

2. Using Our Tools

You can use ShareShift.io if:

  • You're at least 18 years old
  • You're not trying to cheat, hack, or exploit the platform
  • You don't impersonate someone else
  • You follow these terms and use the tools responsibly

We offer dashboards, market share reports, lead generation tools, and APIs. You are welcome to use them for your company or team, but you are not allowed to sell our tools, copy them, or present our work as your own.

3. Signing In with Google

To access the good stuff, you'll need to create an account. You can sign in with Google, and we will only access your name, email, and profile picture if available. We never see or store your Google password. That part stays with Google.

It's your job to keep your login safe. If someone else uses your account in a way that breaks these terms, that's still your responsibility.

4. Subscriptions and Billing

We offer free trials, but full access comes with a paid plan. If you subscribe:

  • You agree to pay the listed fees
  • We will notify you before charges occur
  • If your payment fails, we will reach out and give you time to fix it

You can cancel your subscription whenever you like. You will continue to have access until the end of your billing period, and then your account will switch back to limited access or deactivate completely. No hard feelings.

5. Fair Use

We want everyone to have a smooth experience, so fair use matters. Please do not:

  • Spam our API with excessive requests
  • Use bots or scraping tools to pull data without permission
  • Share your account with others instead of setting up a proper team plan

If we detect unusual usage, we may temporarily limit access. We will usually contact you first to figure out what's going on.

6. Our Content and Tech

Everything you see on ShareShift.io — the tools, the design, the mapping logic, the reports — is ours. That includes our trademarks, code, and visual elements.

You are allowed to use the tools as part of your own workflow or reporting, but you may not copy, modify, resell, or distribute them without written permission.

7. Data Accuracy and Limits

We work hard to make our data accurate and up to date. However, we can't guarantee that every number, provider match, or data point will be perfect.

We are not responsible for decisions made based on our data, lost sales, or missed opportunities. Our job is to provide insights. Your job is to use them wisely.

8. Closing Your Account

We may suspend or delete your account if:

  • You break the rules
  • You misuse our platform
  • You have not used your account for a long period of time

You can also delete your own account at any time. Just visit your profile settings or email us at [email protected] and we'll take care of it.

9. Legal Notes

We are registered and operate under the laws of Dubai, UAE. Any legal disputes will be handled under that jurisdiction.

We do not make promises beyond what is written here. That means no guarantees of uninterrupted service or specific results. We provide the platform as it is.

We might update these terms in the future. If we do, we will let you know through the app or by email.
