We’re ShareShift.io, a brand-new startup on a mission to pull back the curtain on domain name migrations. We help hosting companies understand who’s moving in, who’s moving out, and why. Think of us as the analytics nerds for hosting industry marketing teams — but way cooler.

If you're using our site or tools, this Privacy Policy applies to you.

2. What We Collect (and Why)

a. Stuff You Give Us

When you sign up (especially with Google), we grab:

• Your name
• Your email address
• Your profile pic (if it’s available)

That’s it. No creepy data mining.

b. Stuff We Collect Automatically

• Usage info (like what pages you visit)
• Device info (browser, OS, screen size, nerdy stuff)
• Login timestamps (because security)

c. Google Login Info (OAuth)

If you log in with Google, we get your name, email, and profile pic. Google handles your password. We never see or store it. Ever.

3. How We Actually Use That Info

Here’s what we do with your info:

• Let you log in and use our app
• Power your dashboards and reports
• Make our product better (yay analytics!)
• Send you important stuff (not spam, pinky promise)
• Respond if you email us crying because you forgot your password

We don’t sell your data. We don’t give it to advertisers. And we sure don’t stalk you online.

4. Who Sees Your Data?

We only share your info with:

• Trusted tech partners (like Google for login, or our cloud hosting provider)
• The law, if we’re legally forced to (boo)
• A buyer, if ShareShift.io is ever sold (but we’ll totally let you know if that happens)

5. Cookies 🍪 (Not the Delicious Kind)

Yep, we use cookies. Mostly to:

• Keep you logged in
• Make stuff load faster
• Understand how people use our site

You can block them in your browser if you want, but some stuff might stop working (sorry, we tried).

6. Security, Baby

We care about security like a caffeine-addicted sysadmin. Your data is protected with encryption, strong access controls, and solid security practices. Your Google login is handled by, well... Google — and they're kinda good at this.

7. How Long We Keep Stuff

We’ll keep your info:

• As long as your account exists
• Or until you ask us to delete it

Either way, we’re not hoarders.

8. Your Rights (Yes, You Have Them)

Depending on where you live, you might be able to:

• See what we’ve got on you
• Ask us to fix something that’s wrong
• Delete everything and bounce
• Complain if you think we’re doing it wrong

9. Under 18? Skip This.

Seriously, if you’re under 18, this app isn’t for you. We don’t knowingly collect data from minors, and we’re not about to start now.

10. Changes Happen

We might tweak this policy every now and then. If it’s a big change, we’ll let you know. If it’s tiny, we’ll still update the date at the top so everything’s transparent.
